After reading the new StarCraft managa, available to purchase at Amazon.com, I was blown away. The art work was beautiful and the stories were very touching. I suggest that a true fan should purchase this graphic novel.

Contest Update

Due to a lack of participation of the club contest, I am asking all of you as to whether I should just end the contest and no prize will be given.
It's past the deadline.
If anyone has a good suggestion I will consider it.
As of yet there has not been a single submission toward the contest.

If I do not recieve any replies by next week on this subject I will assume the contest dead.

It's nothing personal - I used to run three clubs at once and believe me, it's not that easy. I'm giving all three away now. My own account is difficult enough to catch up with as it is. That and I've been having recurrent browser issues.

ID DESIGN CONTEST:

1/6/08 I have spoken with and between the two of us we have decided to run the ID contest 3 months from today. So get cracking on those projects! :3

The ID designing contest is still on, but I would like to add two more rules (in bold) and remind you of the old ones:

I should make it clear once more that you should not send anything that is not your artwork, which means no screenshots from the game, of course.
Include a unit/character from each race. Or a building, or a planet. Or think of something else, but please represent all three races. We wouldn't want anyone to think that the club favors one race over another.
Don't make a huge picture.
Include the text "StarCraft fanclub" in your picture. Type it right or it won't be accepted. Do NOT include other text.
No scraps. Only finished pictures. Take your time. Do your very best.

Is there a deadline?
The end of the year. Negotiable. So work hard.

Who will decide the winner?
My idea was to create a poll on my own account, and warn my watchers in a journal that only the club members can vote. How's that?

has offered to award the winner with a 3 month dA subscription.

The purpose of this club is not to demonstrate that a certain race has more fans than another. The club was founded in order to enable fans of a certain race to find artwork of their favourite characters easier. That is all.

As a consequence, any comments on the main page that state that one race is better than another, especially judging only by the number of members in this fanclub, shall be hidden on sight from now on (the 22nd of February 2007).

CLICK THE LINK, FAVE THE ORIGINAL. Say it in the mirror every morning. Why? Not because I say so, but for the simple reason that this is not my personal page - it is a club. The deviations in the gallery do not belong to the administrator. Whenever you fave one of them, the notification returns to the club, and not to the author of the original piece. There is a link in every description, and it's not there for aesthetic purposes. Click it. Support your fellow StarCraft fans and do them a favour. Especially if you are expecting to be thanked for the fave.
All the members will receive a from the club. Watching the club in return would enable you to view the new club submissions.
